Aston Bali Resort and Spa in Tanjung Benoa, for any type of holiday

Aston Bali Resort and Spa is located at a beautiful section of the Tanjung Benoa beach.

The recent renovations and the many others planned for the near future have created a resort with a refreshing atmosphere.

Today this modern Aston resort has been mixed with a twist of Balinese influences.

With its great location right at the beach and big lagoon pool, this Bali beach resort offers a wonderful place to stay during your tropical holiday. The additional facilities and services provided by the resort is great for young couples or families with children.

Once you've entered the big entrance and lobby you will find yourself in the Samudara lounge where you can sit and listen to live piano music while enjoying a light snack.

From here you can go to the rooms which are in the North and South wings both connected to the lobby. The wings surround the pool and the main restaurant Cafe Melasti, where a buffet breakfast is served every morning.

I really liked this restaurant because from here you have a wonderful view on the resorts garden, pool and of course the sparkling blue ocean. That's how I like to start my day during the holidays...

Besides having ocean view from the restaurant there are several rooms which also look out on the Indian Ocean such as the deluxe ocean view (highly recommended), ocean view suites and the ocean front suites. Other rooms at Aston Bali have a pool or garden view.

A very unique feature from all the resorts that I have seen is that at Aston Bali Resort and Spa there are bedrooms for ladies only. Ideal for a real girls holiday out.

These 20 Ladies rooms decorated in purple with extra flowers and toiletries are located in a separate corridor not far from the spa facilities. This area is restricted for women only and even the staff (including reception and maintenance) are all women. 

Right next to the Ladies only corridor, you will find the Biwana spa. I was really impressed by the facilities of the spa. It really looks nice with its natural and bright looks.

There are separate massage rooms for singles or couples, where you can also finalize your spa treatment in a open air flower petal bath.

Besides full body massages there is also a selection of reflexology treatments, body scrubs and facials.

The spa is open from 8am till 9pm and there is even a happy hour between 9am-11am when you can enjoy a couple spa treatment but only pay for one.

When staying at a resort one of the most important things that I need is a huge pool and a clean soft sandy beach.

Luckily the lagoon shaped pool at Aston Bali Resort and Spa is big and provides enough space to cool down, have fun and to swim several laps.

The pool area blends into the beach front area where Aston Bali Resort and Spa has created a pretty trendy and comfortable seating section on their private stretch of beach.

Besides lazing around, the resort offers many activities that will have you leaving your comfortable sun lounger behind for some piece of action.

If you want to see the Aston Bali beach resort from above you can go parasailing, but if you prefer to keep your toes wet hop on the banana boat, go jet skiing or join the many underwater activities.

After a day in the sun you can fully enjoy a evening in the resort as well. Every night the resort organizes different themed buffets accompanied by performances.

The buffets differ from Indonesian buffets, to Japanese, Caribbean and Seafood grill. So expect a spectacular dinner feast here...

 

The C-lounge, in the evenings the place to be for a tropical cocktail

 

An other option is to dine in their recently opened Italian restaurant 'Giorgio' and after dinner it's also possible to retreat at the "By the C-lounge" located on the beach.

If you are on a holiday with young children but you would like to spend some time alone with your partner then there is the baby sitting option. This is ideal if you want to enjoy a spa treatment in the resort or just have a romantic dinner without worrying about the children.

I immediately liked the Aston Bali Resort and Spa. It has a personal atmosphere because it is somewhat smaller than the nearby hotels in Nusa Dua and along Tanjung Benoa beach. On top of that it is one of those resorts where you can create your own type of holiday.

Cons: watersports activities off shore can get noisy, older rooms need renovation
