Bali Accomodation in Candidasa ranges from hotels and resorts to villas and homestays. There's something for everyone and here we've made a selection of those places that we are so fond of and like to go back to.

None of our favorites in Candi dasa are located on the busy main road but in quiet and smaller side streets instead.

Candi Beach Cottages:
This 4-star Bali beach resort is set amidst a huge coconut grove garden and has two big swimming pools with views on the Bay of Amuk.

Their rooms and bungalows are freshly decorated and have all the modern amenities you could wish for on your holiday.

Fresh frangipani flowers are brought to your room every day. (US$94-124 per night)

Rama Resort and Spa:
This Candidasa hotel has 72 air-conditioned traditional Balinese styled bungalows and a wing room building with disappointing bathrooms.

Nonetheless they have one of the best (if not the best) spa facilities in town.

This is the place to go to for some serious Balinese pampering with herbs and mud. (US$75-100 per night)

Puri Bagus Resort:
This Bali accomodation was one of the first tourist resorts in this little town and is still a surprisingly good mid-range alternative with its ocean view and garden view bungalows.

Their pool is great and there's also an area designed for kids so ideal when you travel with the entire family.

There is also a spa, a dive school with lessons in the pool and gazebos at the waterfront. (US$61-77 per night)

Amankila Manggis
Expect total luxury and high standard personal service at this classy resort in Manggis, located just outside Candidasa.

Their beautiful Balinese styled rooms, gorgeous three tiered pool, colorful garden, delicious food and incredible views will make you wish you can stay forever. The staff will make sure you enjoy every minute of your stay and they can also organize wonderful day trips around the island. (US$930-1125 per night)

The Alila resort:
This resort isn't located in Candi dasa but just outside Candi dasa in a village called Manggis. It belongs to the Designer Hotels and it's easy to see why with the immaculate tropical scenery and the award winning SeaSalt restaurant.

If you're looking for a lazy holiday with extremely good service, this is the place to be. (US$116-140 per night)

The Alam Asmara Candidasa Resort
is a fantastic mid-range option at the waterfront with value for money deluxe bungalows set among tropical flowers and fish ponds.

Their Rendez-Vous restaurant serves delicious food, smoothies and cocktails. Great place to do some swimming in sea as well...

The Nirwana Resort and Spa
This Bali accomodation is ideal if you are looking for tranquility. It's about a 20 minute walk from 'Candidasa center' and therefore guarantees total relaxation.

This small scale resort has only 18 Balinese styled bungalows with either garden view or ocean view. A nice feature of this resort is their main pool which is located just off the beach and has stunning views over the ocean. (US$130-175 per night)

Ida's homestay:
This homestay is the best budget Bali accomodation that we've seen near the beach until now.

The only drawback is that it's located on the busy main road through Candi dasa. Nonetheless this homestay is covered with huge palm trees and you have fantastic views on the sea and the local fishermen from their pavilion. (US$15 per night per night (single bungalow for 2) or US$27 per night (double level)
