Kuta Legian area:
This is the most popular and densely populated area of the island. So naturally there is a large amount of resorts to choose from.
You can either go for a Bali luxury resort here or decide to go for a less expensive places to stay such as mid-range resorts and budget accommodation.
At the Kuta area there is plenty of choice at any price range whether you are traveling with a family, as a couple or with a group of friends.
Seminyak:
This village is known for its upscale accommodation, restaurants and shops. So if you are looking for a stylish Bali luxury hotel then you are very likely to find one here.
It seems that the newer the resort the more spectacular the contemporary style of the premises and facilities in the rooms are.

Jimbaran:
Jimbaran offers many luxury resorts however everything is a bit low key here compared to the Kuta area.
Here travelers seems to enjoy the facilities their Jimbaran resort has to offer while leaving the big crowd behind.
In Jimbaran there are hardly any massive resorts like the ones in Nusa Dua so making it easier to find a nice place to stay with a lot of character and more personalized service...
Sanur:
Travellers who are looking for a peaceful place to stay with a long clean beach, perfect walkway and loads of shops/ restaurants should head for Sanur.

Ubud:

Candidasa:
There are many resorts located along the coast of the coconut village of Candidasa. There are no real beaches here though, but at some areas you can go for a swim during high tide.
But don't worry most of the resorts here have provided nice pools with sea view for a refreshing dip.
Candidasa is an ideal place to stay if you want to explore the eastern and one of the most interesting parts of Bali.
Amed:
If you want to loose the crowd and enjoy the silence accompanied with a stunning emerald colored sea then Amed is the place for you.
Amed consists of 5 villages perched on the slopes of mountains at the eastern tip of Bali. There are all types of resorts of which the majority focus on Bali scuba diving and snorkling activities.
Here you can choose mainly from beautiful located mid-range accommodation and budget accommodation.
Lovina:
Located in the far north Lovina is not the most visited village in Bali. However there are some nice types of accommodation here located right at their volcanic beach.
If you want to see some wildlife during your stay here in Bali than Lovina is a good base.
From here you can see wild dolphins, go snorkling or diving around the best coral reef of Bali or go hiking in Bali's last remaining National Park.
