Barberkyu Kafe and Restaurant Pesto, tasty food in a great ambiance...

Half way Jalan Monkey Forest Ubud you'ill see a red sign 'Barberkyu Kafe' and a little further back a green one with 'Restaurant Pesto'. 

At both places you can find a menu with a large number of mouth-watering European and Indonesian food ranging from crispy sandwiches to fresh fish from the oven.

Both restaurants are from the same owner and their menu is identical. However each restaurant has its own character...

 

 

If you are just looking for a relaxed place for lunch, dinner or a good coffee, than the Barberkyu is a highly recommended place to go to.

Not only is the smell of freshly brewed coffee (their café latte machiatto is perfect), but  also the open-air setting with the wooden furniture and old Bali pictures create an atmosphere that will have you sitting there for hours on end.

The Kafe also offers free wireless internet, so if you bring your laptop you can go online here. No better place to let the people at home know how the beautiful life is going...

 

Just look at this delicious sandwich...

 

The food is nicely displayed on the plate. A tuna kebab sounds simple but at this restaurant it is beautifully served on pesto-mashed potatoes and it just tastes wonderful!

Just like the sandwiches, that are served with chunky French fries and a real tasty green salad on the side.

I should warn you that you must leave some space for their delicious desserts such as ice-cream, Indonesian pudding and home-made cakes.

 

 

The trendy Restaurant Pesto Ubud Bali

 

The food at Restaurant Pesto is just as great and it's located 100m down the road from Barberkyu Kafe. The only differences between the two restaurants are the interior and ambiance. 

While the Barberkyu Kafe invites you to sit and relax for a couple of hours with your newspaper or laptop, Restaurant Pesto offers a trendy place to hang out with your friends or family and to have drinks till late at night.
