Treat yourself to Cafe Batu Jimbar...

Cafe Batu Jimbar is not hard to miss; with its red parasols on Jalan Danau Tamblingan this cafe seems to be one of the most popular places in town.

At dinner time it is packed and looks really great by candle light accompanied by live music.

If the music is good, you will even see people get up from their chairs to start dancing…

 

 

During the day it is busy as well with people relaxing, enjoying the company or reading the latest news.

Most of the people sitting at Cafe Batu Jimbar order one of the many juices that are served in a large glass. The juices might seem expensive compared with other Sanur restaurants, but once you taste the perfect mix of fruit juices you are hooked.

My girlfriend went for the refreshing combination of apple, parsley, mint and lemon while Barbro, our friend from Holland tried the mix of rambutan and tangerine; both a must to try.

 

Lunch time at Cafe Batu Jimbar

As for dinner Batu Jimbar is a nice place to be as well. They have a pretty long list for starters and the main courses range from typical and delicious Indonesian food such as lontong (rice cake) and nasi campur to other dishes from all over the world.

They serve lasagna, steaks, chicken, fish, burgers and even taco's. And if you really missing food from home (in this case Australia) then they even have Australian Prime Cut Tenderloin, Australian Rib eye and Australian Angus Striploin.

At the end of your dinner don't forget to walk inside and take a look at their cake display. Their large display of cakes looks so good that you will find it tempting not to order them all.

The Cafe is beautifully decorated...

Just next to the cafe there is a small shop that sells imported products. It was funny to see typical European products after being away from Europe for months.

So if you are in Bali and you are craving for some biscuits that are typical for you country, you might be lucky here…
