Get your groove on at
the Hard Rock Hotel Bali

Hard Rock Hotel Bali is located in the middle of Kuta’s entertainment and shopping district.

The famous Kuta Beach Bali is just across the street of the hotel. The main entrance of the hotel is however not visible from the main street due to its long driveway.

When we were walking up the driveway we noticed straight away that the noisy traffic sounds from Jalan Pantai slowly disappeared.

Once at the main entrance of this Bali Beach resort you will immediately be welcomed by the famous Hard Rock logo and throughout throughout the resort you can see more decorations that will remind you of where you are staying.

Signed pictures, records and guitars used by famous musicians hang prominently on the wall.

Hard Rock Hotel Bali even has its own radio station located within the building which also provides music throughout the hotel the majority of the day. There's also a recording studio where you can make your own cd.

Many shops also sell the well-known ‘hard rock t-shirts’ and other merchandise.

Up till then we were only familiar with the Hard Rock Cafes in big cities throughout the world. So it was surprising to be walking in a hotel with the same character as its cafés.

 

 

The hotel has been able to combine its character with that of Bali. The Bali style gardens with flowers and statues can be found around the hotel and swimming pool.

A court-yard between the rooms provided an excellent spot to sit in the shade and you can even play a game of chess…

The path to the swimming pool is also decorated with beautiful tropical trees, running water and the funny looking statues typical of Bali.

We love the size of the pool. It's huge and you'll feel like jumping in immediately.

The pool seems do be divided into three sections. The outer left is squared and looks like a pool in which you could do a couple of laps, while the outer right is a more relaxing, tropical lagoon-like pool.

Near this lagoon-like swimming pool you'll find private cabanas (or gazebos), which are fully decorated with beach chairs, a table, fan and lights. It looks like a perfect place to spend the day…

 

Feel like taking a dip?

 

The third section or middle section of the pool is the most surprising. We noticed that the colour of the water was not blue like the other parts of the pool. Instead it had a green glow…

On the bottom of the pool you'll see sand and around the pool is actually a man-made beach area where people can even play beach volleyball.

We've never seen sand in a pool before and we are still amazed about this very surprising and original detail.

On the main floor of the hotel, next to a small bistro that provides Wifi Internet access is the big main restaurant.

From the restaurant there is a view of swimming pool and the sea. This is a suitable and very comfortable spot to see the famous Kuta sunsets.

Other facilities in the Hard Rock Hotel Bali are the spa and gym. The gym has all the equipment for a full-body work-out and it all looks very new. After the gym, guests can also use the sauna that is located in the changing rooms.

Right next to the hotel you can find the Hard Rock Café that offers various types of entertainment every night.

On top of that, if you ever wanted to drive a Harley Davidson through the beautiful rice fields and mountains of Bali here’s your chance.
