Jimbaran Puri Bali is located on one of Bali's most beautiful beaches; the picture perfect Jimbaran beach with its white sand, swaying palm trees and colorful fishermen boats.

Besides its top location at a beautiful beach, I think that the Jimbaran Puri Bali resort is a very intimate and relaxed place.

It's not a big resort where you have to fight for sun loungers at the beach or pool or where you have to crawl your way through the crowd to get to the breakfast area.

This exotic resort only consists of 42 classy, individual bungalows set in an immaculate garden of 4 hectares.

There are 6 types of bungalows at Jimbaran Puri Bali resort which are the Garden View Cottage Suite, the Beachfront Cottage Suite, the Beachfront Pool Cottage Suite, the Garden View Pool Cottage Suite, the Superior Garden view Cottage and the Garden View Two Bedroom Cottage.

I was quite impressed to see how big the cottages are both from the outside as well as the inside. At the outside you have your own verandah, private garden with sun loungers and outdoor shower.

The inside is very spacious with the traditional Balinese alang-alang roofs, draped double bed, sofa and in the bathroom you can find a sunken terrazzo marble bath, two wash basins and one handheld + fixed shower head.

Other modern amenities include air conditioning, 32'' flat screen satellite/cable TV, IDD telephone, internet, mini-bar, safe, audio-equipment etc.

Some of the cottages at this resort even have their own swimming pool which is perfect if you like to have a bit more privacy.

But I must say, the public horizon edge swimming pool is big enough so that you hardly notice any of the other guests swimming by.

On the right side near the entrance of the hotel Jimbaran Puri Bali is the open-air Nelayan restaurant, which is a spacious Balinese pavilion where tables are set next to the beach and at the pool.

Here you can have the buffet styled breakfast or on the grass outside.

Do make sure that your package has breakfast included because the rates do not come with breakfast.

Please take it in consideration though, that in most places along Jimbaran Bay the prices at the resort restaurants are more expensive compared to those prices at restaurants in Kuta or Sanur.

However a great option in Jimbaran are the seafood restaurants on Jimbaran beach next to the Intercontinental Hotel where the seafood is fresh, of good quality and where you can enjoy the sunset while putting your toes in the sand.

We've been to these restaurants numerous times and just love it. Don't expect the 5-star service like the Nelayan restaurant at Jimbaran Puri Bali but the atmosphere is fantastic...

Another great thing about Jimbaran beach is that during the day time you can really enjoy the wonderful beach.

Unlike Kuta, Legian or Lovina you won't find hawkers trying to sell you a massage, sarong, ice-cream or other items that will leave you wondering what it's for.

 

The quiet beach at Jimbaran Puri Bali

 

At Jimbaran beach you can walk for miles on end either in the direction of the Ngurah Rai Airport (which won't bother you at this resort) or in the direction of the Pura Ulun Siwi temple at the end of the beach.

Here you can find locals playing football or fishermen coming back with freshly caught fish ready to be sold at the fish market or to the resorts in this southern part of Bali.

If you like you can have a chat with them, they love it and it might be that they even can take you on a small tour around the cliffs in this area.

This is really a magnificent piece of Bali and a must to see...

 

 

Other 'activities' at the resort is getting a massage. This Bali beach resort has two massage ladies who will ask you (sometimes a bit too many times) whether you like to have a Balinese massage on the beach or in the garden by the pool.

There's also a spa on the resort premises but do make a reservation in advance. The Beach Spa has three Balinese inspired spa bales (Balinese pavilions) and a separate double whirlpool bath bale.

So even it is built to create total privacy, you will still feel like being outdoors...

Treatments range from Ayurvedic massages, Balinese massages, Reflexology Massage to Warm Stone massages.

Depending on the type of massage 60 minutes will cost you around Rph450.000 ($40USD) and 90 minutes around Rp 650.000 ($60USD).

All in all I really liked the Jimbaran Puri Bali resort because of its location right at the beach, the friendly staff and the spacious bungalows with all the modern facilities and Balinese features.

 

 

When I was at this Bali boutique hotel I did see some children playing around. But I don't think that there is much action in and around Jimbaran for children.

Therefore it would be wise for families with active children to head for Nusa Dua, Kuta or Sanur.

On the other hand, I highly can recommend this resort to couples who are looking for a romantic spot under the palm trees and a place to fully relax during their holiday.
