We have definitely become regulars at the Jimbaran Seafood Restaurants. The fish in these restaurants is fresh because it just came out of the sea that very same day.
On top of that, you can sit right in front of the sea shore, watch the sunset while nibbling on a squid-satay.
If you arrive at Jimbaran beach there are many restaurants to choose from. It doesn’t really matter where you sit, as most restaurants offer the same thing: grilled fish by candle light with your toes in the sand.

Sitting front row during sunset...
We always surprise ourselves by choosing a set menu so we can try many types of fish which we otherwise would not have ordered such as crab and lobster.
To be honest, I love crab but I am always too lazy to order it because they are just too hard to open.
But luckily the cooks at these restaurants have cut it in such a way that you will have these little buggers open in no time...

I think the different set menus are definitely the best option for real seafood lovers!
After the sun has set and the moon is shining above the sea, the candles on all the tables are the only things you see around you...
It’s a beautiful sight.

This is what I call dinner by candle-light
If you are staying in the Kuta beach area than it is worth to drive once to try one of the Jimbaran seafood restaurants, as this is probably the nearest location where you can sit right on the beach while having dinner.
And if you are staying at a Jimbaran resort you can easily stroll over to the restaurant and enjoy the grilled fish every day!
