As you might expect, the Lovina restaurants are the place where you can eat fresh fish. Fish that is just caught that very same day...
If you drive along the main street of Lovina beach you will see many signs of restaurants, which are located in the side streets towards the beach.

Fishing boats at Lovina North Bali...
Some of these are large seafood restaurants where you can choose from fish, crab or lobster that are still swimming in a fish tank.
However Kalibukbuk is the place where restaurants are located close to one another. Along both streets there are various types of restaurants, from large fully packed ones, to less prominent ones.
The nice thing about dining in Kalibukbuk is you can stroll around town until you have found a nice place.

Almost all Lovina restaurants serve seafood satay. It's delicous...
There are a couple of restaurants located at the beach so while having dinner you can gaze at the amazing sunset Lovina beach is famous for.
Besides grilled and fried fish, a large number of Lovina restaurants serve fish prepared in the Balinese way.
Most famous is the ikan pepes which is fish wrapped in banana leaf and grilled together with dozens of herbs and spices. It is very tasty, but be aware that every restaurant you visit prepares their ikan pepes differently.

Enjoy lunch or dinner right at the beach...
There are also places that promote other dishes besides seafood. There is abundance in Western food such as pizza’s, spaghetti’s, tuna sandwiches and even cheeseburgers.
So there is always something for everyone...
These are the Lovina restaurants which we think are worth having a bite:
Warung
Bintang Bali:
This restaurant is one of those places where there are always people
sitting while other restaurants are still empty.
We had a difficult time choosing; because once we were seated we saw that besides the dishes on the menu there were more mentioned on blackboards hanging on the ceiling. They sounded all really tasty...
Tropics
Restaurant & Bar:
This big restaurant with an open seating is located at the beach in
Kalibukbuk.
If you order fish or pizza you can see them preparing it on the grill and stone oven just in the back of the restaurant.
The food and coffee is really good and together with the nice seabreeze, it’s perfect for lunch or dinner. Try the grilled tuna; it's delicious...
The
Sea Breeze Restaurant:
This cafe on the beach at Jalan Bina Ria serves delightful food and has
a view to die for with the amazing sunset.
Try the seafood Shish kebab and you won't be disappointed.
There's also an acoustic live band in the background that plays songs on your request. Arrive around 5pm since it gets pretty busy...
Akar Ethical & Natural Living:
This tiny lime green restaurant offers enough choice for vegetarians and non-vegetarians who don't mind skipping a meal with meat ;-). Falafels with humus, quiche, salads, yogurts, juices and smoothies are just a few on their menu.
Besides healthy stuff they also serve delicious coffee together with cakes or cookies. They also have free Wifi, so its a perfect place to go online, sip a cup of coffee and discuss the travel plans for the upcoming days...
Cheap Indonesian Warungs Kalibukbuk:
Just off Lovina beach you can find a string of cheap Indonesian restaurants offering the tastiest food you can ask for. They have everything: grilled fish, Pepes Ikan, Gado Gado, fried rice, fresh juice and much more.
These restaurants are the most popular places in town. While they all seem similar Warung Apple and Warung Ayu are somehow always packed. People even make reservations. We ate at Warung Ayu and the quiet Warung Sing KenKen and both were just as good...
