The Nusa Dua Beach hotel Bali is located at the beautiful beach that Nusa Dua is so famous for.

It is a big resort and popular among travellers who come to Bali for the first time and like to explore the island with Nusa Dua as the base.

I have to say the resort has been able to create a nice Balinese atmosphere with international standards. Immediately upon arrival we were greeted by an impressive Balinese Candi gate located at the driveway of the hotel.

In and around this Bali beach resort there are many Balinese decorations as well. Statues and paintings are found around every corner. The resort premises have of course the magnificent gardens with an abundance of tropical flowers Bali is known for.

The resort definitely took us into the world of Balinese beauty. This also includes the exceptional Balinese service as service-minded staff at this resort exceeds expectations...

The Nusa Dua Beach hotel has 381 elegant Balinese styled rooms with view on the exotic garden or on the Indian ocean. All rooms have a private balcony which is draped with Bougainvillea flowers. This again makes it a colorful sight when looking at the entire picture. 

The hotel has been able to create enough choice for any kind of traveler whether you are travelling with children, as honeymooners, a group of friends or as a club member.

Rooms are categorized in 'Rooms & Suites' and the 'Palace Club'. In the first category you have the option of a Superior room for 2, 3 or 4 people, Deluxe room, Agung suite that has a view on the sacred Mount Agung, Nusa Dua suite and the Family room.

The Palace Club rooms have some additional facilities compared to the other rooms and they are bigger. And the best thing of all, there is a butler service at the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel that can arrange anything you need. So no hassle during you holiday; everything is arranged...

The Palace Club rooms are 45m2 and are all located on the ground floor with view on the garden. The Palace Suite on the other hand is 80m2 and has an additional living room and a wonderful ocean view.

If you are staying in one of these Palace rooms you can use the Palace Club privileges. This means that you can use all the facilities that are found in the Palace Lounge, a beautiful Balinese decorated area with luxurious extras.

Here non-alcoholic drinks are served all day and at 2pm you can enjoy a large choice of snacks and cakes during high tea. Breakfast is served in this lounge as well. So plan to spend many hours of your holiday here enjoying the many extra services, we think it was worth the money.

On the Nusa Dua Beach hotel Bali premises you can find three swimming pools; the main pool, the lagoon pool and a children pool. The first two pools are really big so enough space for everyone so you have your own little private area when swimming or sun bathing.

The main pool has a pool bar and pool bales (small Balinese pavilions) where you can lounge and sip cocktails all day while escaping from the heat of the sun.

Walking towards the beach you will find the Lagoon pool. This pool has a really nice light green color and it was very quiet when we were there.

If you do decide to head for the beach you will be welcomed with beautiful soft and clean sand. There are enough beach chairs to put your towel on so you can start sun bathing right away so you don't have to wake up at 6am and reserve your sun lounger.

Besides some action on the beach you can join complimentary activities which are organized by the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel. There are for instance  palm leave (Janur) weaving, cultural and garden tours, jogging routes, tennis and squash courts, wall climbing, fitness center and the scuba diving introductory lesson.

Other great activities where you have to pay for are cooking classes, a ride on a glass bottom boat, mountain bike rental and all kinds of tours. Just head over to the tour desk in the lobby and they can arrange anything that is available.

For couples who want total relaxation and just want to hear the sound of of a little breeze, head to the Nusa Dua Beach Hotel Spa. Children are not allowed in this area, so here you can have total silence while dozing away at the Lap pool.

The Resort Spa is also just around the corner if you feel like pampering yourself. There are either spa treatment rooms located on the first floor, or the spa villas which are found near the premises of the pool.

Nusa Dua Beach hotel can guarantee ultimate dining and wining. This  hotel has been awarded Best Culinary Team 2008, their fourth consecutive award.

There are 6 unique restaurants that you can choose from, ranging from Italian to authentic Balinese. So expect a different dinner experience every night.

The chef has even traveled through Bali to find the best Balinese dishes from this island in order to serve his guest the real thing at the Raja's restaurant. And at the Chess Beachfront they offer wonderful grilled dishes and great ocean views.

While the smell of oven baked pizza will lead you to Sandro's pizzeria, the Wedong Jahe offers you a wide range of international cuisine in a nice informal setting.

Sushi and sashimi is served in the Japanese restaurant Maguro which is located a few steps from the sea...

Throughout the years Nusa Dua Beach Hotel Bali has been able to maintain the classical Balinese style despite surrounding resorts focusing on a more contemporary style. I think that this is definitely the main difference that makes this resort stand out from the rest.

So if you want to spend your Bali holiday in a setting that resembles the traditional Bali with  modern touches, then Nusa Dua Beach hotel is definitely a great option. Especially if you are visiting Bali for the first time it is a great opportunity to see why Bali has become so loved...
