Our wonderful wedding in Sanur Bali

Having fallen in love with Bali many years ago we decided it had to be the place to declare our love for each other.

A most wonderful warm feeling reminds me of a beautiful wedding ceremony, the weather well, the worst seen in September for a long time, but having spent the morning in the spa, and been offered an umbrella to get from the Jacuzzi to the spa villa to stay dry!

Relief just as I left the complimentary dressing room with my balkanise attendants the clouds parted and the sun came out. Waiting in the beautifully decorated bamboo atrium that I could ever have imagined was my dream man.

We had chosen a traditional Balinese ceremony - very unusual but so spiritual, the joining in different ways of minds, hearts minds and lives, we were blessed and cleansed before entering the idyllic area, before us was the most spectacular table laid will offerings, alive with the most vibrant colours that I have ever seen, we had an interpreter to guide us through this ceremony and at one stage I ended up looking like "wonder woman"!

The second part to exchange our vows and rings was with a Christian priest, repeating those vows in such a romantic setting is something I will never forget. It makes me shiver just thinking about it.

Suddenly apart from our friends who were with us (they had also got married two days earlier we had a huge congregation of hotel staff and guests, who then watched us toast each other with sparkling wine and cake - so simple and pretty.

After 700!! photographs taken around the grounds, hotel and beach we enjoyed sipping cocktails and eventually a romantic meal.

The whole process was extremely simple to arrange, a fantastic staff member, Panarma, at the Bali Hyatt help us both to arrange everything from the UK, a quick visit to the consulate for a legal signature and everything was arranged with just the exchange of e-mails.

We found the most fantastic photographer on the internet, who produces the most amazing album and all photos on CD's - pictures and memories that will never be forgotten

Value for money? you bet, we would never have experienced anything like it in the UK – nothing was too much trouble, a complete package, would i recommend it? always

Wedding in 2012
by: C Hanwell

Don't worry you will have a wonderful time. All of the staff are fantastic, however Purnama is magical, nothing is to much troublle, she stays in contact the whole time and meets with you once at the hotel to make sure you are happy with everything, despite being 8.5 months pregnant, she stayed with me before and during the ceramony to ensure all was well. We went back in April and as ever had a great time, give her my love when you contact her!Let everyone know of your day and get ready for very special memories and beaufiful photos - the one taken on the main staircase is really dramatic! regards

Response to evening
by: C Hanwell

Hi
If was a long day,spa in the morning and a long photo session and very warm very as well, we were shattered, so we were so glad we had opted for just cocktails and then an evening meal, dont think i could have managed anything more hetic! We chose to stay in the hotel and ate in the open air restaurant, the hotel staff had moved all of the decorations from the wedding so it was full of beautiful flowers and smelt heavenly. It ended a very long but beautiful day in such a romantic way. i wish you all the best and have a wonderful time

Thank so much for your information about your wedding at the Bali Hyatt in Sanur.
My fiance and I are planning to get married there in April 2012 (on the beach) and although I am dead set for it, I am a little nervous sbout it too! So it was really helful to know that you had a wonderful experience. I am also emailing with Purnama about the event, so also great to know that she is a long term employee at the hotel and comes highly recommended!
Thank you once again!!!
