The impressive Sanur Paradise Plaza
The Sanur Paradise Plaza is located at Jalan Hang Tuah on one side and the busy Jalan Ngurah Rai bypass on the other side in the northern part of Sanur and is one of the biggest resort buildings in Sanur village.
The hotel parking lot has enough room for several busses which is not surprising considering the conference and banqueting center that can house up to 2000 visitors.
The hotel reception is directly on your left hand when you enter the lobby next to the Tunjung Mekar hotel lobby bar that serves cold beers, cocktails, coffee and tea all day. The lobby has several giant wooden statues of Garuda and a lot of art on the walls. The hotel has 329 guest rooms and suites and all of the rooms have a view on the huge 104m lagoon like pool. This is the perfect spot to relax and laze under the palm trees with a book.

The rooms are all you can expect from a 4-star hotel with Balinese design: broadband internet, satellite tv, mini bar, air-conditioning etc.

The only thing that could use some improvement is the paint on the walls outside of the deluxe courtyard rooms. These are the more expensive rooms but I can’t see the added value with such a tiny courtyard/garden.
At the poolside there’s the Cafe Komodo Alfresco which is open for dining from 9.00 am and where you can order your sandwiches at the pool.
Doesn't matter what time, dinner is served all day
The Sanur Paradise Plaza hotel has another restaurant which is the Sanur Harum restaurant. It serves Cantonese cuisine with eat-as-much-dim-sum-as-you-can and Peking duck as their specialty.
The hotel has one of the biggest gyms I’ve seen until now in any hotel in Bali with lots of treadmills, free weights, bicycles, steps machines and aerobics classes. Just like everything else, the gym is massive
Next door there’s the hotel spa were you can choose between several treatments ranging from Japanese Shiatsu massage to Swedish Aromatherapy.

The hotel also offers activities such as a wood carving and Balinese painting demonstration and cooking classes.
It’s a pity that the hotel is not located directly at the beach. You can walk over to the beach in 10 minutes but this isn't the best part of the beach. That's probably the reason why the hotel provides a shuttle bus service every 1/2 hour to the beach at Bonsai Cafe.
Here you have decent beach and some sun loungers under palm trees. Try to come in early otherwise they're gone...
The Paradise plaza is very family oriented and they have their own Camp Splash Kids Club open from 9am to 6pm where the kids can watch movies and cartoons, play video games and play table tennis or basketball. There’s even a 30 m long water slide and baby sitting facilities.
Next door to the hotel there’s a 9-hole golf course owned and operated by the Inna Grand Bali Beach hotel but open to every visitor. It costs US$54 and includes green fee, caddy fee and government tax.
 Believe it or not...
this picture was shot from the hotel corridor!
The Sanur Paradise Plaza hotel is an ideal place for families with young kids or for those travellers on a business trip in Bali, who are looking for good conference facilities.
I wouldn't recommend this hotel for young travellers who are looking for some action and some more buzz. For those I would recommend staying in the Puri Santrian Sanur or the Mercure in the southern part of Sanur.
The only downside is that the hotel is not located at the beach but luckily there's the shuttle bus every 1/2 hour.
At this hotel I recommend the refurbished Pool view Rooms since you get your own sun loungers in front of the room directly at the pool. Very convenient and you don't have to climb the stairs or take the elevator all the time.
Average price per night for the Pool view room $87 USD incl. 21% tax, service and breakfast.
