This little gem is tucked away on a river gorge and surrounded by sounds of the tropics.
It's a very low-key place and one of those places you want to buy if you had the money.

Alam Jiwa
The intimate Alam Jiwa located in Nyu Kuning is another one of our favorites.
With spectacular rice field views, spacious rooms, great pool and away from all the hype of shops and taxis.
Ideally located behind the Monkey Forest and has easy access to the village. (around US$75-US$175 per night)
Alam Indah:
This Ubud accommodation is also located in Nyu Kuning and owned by the same owner as Alam Jiwa.
All the ingredients are there for a fantastic experience.

Uma
Hotel:
This is a fantastic isolated Bali boutique hotel in Ubud with breath-taking views on
the tropical Campuan valley and the river Wos.
An ideal place for their daily yoga, meditation classes and spa treatments.

Ulun
Resort:
I think this mid-range Ubud accommodation has lots of character.
It's a hidden gem tucked away on the outskirts of Ubud Bali with one of the best magical views of all the resorts I’ve seen until now... (around US$49-US$54 per night)
Kori
Resort:
The Kori Resort is across the street from the famous Neka Museum.
It has stunning views on the rice fields from their Balinese bungalows, restaurant and terraced pool.

Alila Hotel Ubud Bali:
As soon as you arrive at Alila Ubud you will be attracted by their eye catching swimming pool with stunning views over the green river gorge. The whole premises is surrounded by green vegetation.
Contemporary style dominates the premises and room with elegant Balinese touches. Alila is located about 20 minutes drive from Ubud center. (around US$155-US$630 per night)
The Saren Indah hotel is a cute little hotel in Nyu Kuning and since it's a small place the staff are more personal and super friendly.
For what you get this is a real value for money hotel in a great location just south of Monkey Forest.

Bali Spirit Hotel and Spa:
This Ubud accommodation is located along river Wos in Nyu Kuning about 10 minutes from the village center. The premises and their 25 suites and villas have a traditional Balinese style. From every room also you have view over the river and rows of palm trees.
There is a quiet and relaxing atmosphere here. You will be away from the crowd but still have quick access to all the things Ubud village has to offer. (around US$85-US$145 per night)
Gubah Bali:
This is a small resort located in Desa Bedulu just 15 minutes by car from Ubud Bali.
It's hard to find but like they say also hard to leave. There's no TV, no Radio just the sounds of the crickets, monkeys and the small river below.

With
its beautiful green setting, its narrow ancient looking alleys and the
surrounding rice fields it's not surprising that some good hostels are
found in amazing locations.
Luckily the budget traveler and backpacker can find a reasonable priced accommodation in Ubud which sometimes includes first class views over rice fields or river gorges.
