Villa Sasoon Bali, a refreshing villa
in Candidasa

Villa Sasoon Bali is located on Jalan Puri Bagus named after the first resort of Candidasa, the very good mid-range Puri Bagus Resort at the end of the road.

This villa is not situated directly next to Candi dasa's sea side but it isn't far from it either. Next to this Bali holiday villa there's a small alley which leads to the sea directly within 5 minutes.

Upon arrival at the villa there's the small reception where someone of the staff will help you with the check-in and luggage.

Chances are if they are not there, they are probably removing some coconuts from the trees. It happened to us when we arrived here the first time.

The 5 cheery faces of the staff are everywhere (if you let them ;-) and they do everything around the villa; cleaning the pool, house keeping, preparing breakfast, maintenance etc.

There are four identical villas at Villa Sasoon Bali and each has two big air conditioned bedrooms in separate buildings facing the plunge pool.

Both of these bedrooms have bathtubs with indoor showers and a small tropical courtyard with an outdoor shower as well.

What I found to be very striking is the 8-meter high ceiling in the living room. It's made of bamboo and thatched the Balinese-way just to remember you where you are.

Besides this feature I found Villa Sasoon Candidasa very refreshing due to its minimalist design with here and there a painting or a Balinese statue.

The open marble kitchen is fully equipped and this is the place where staff will prepare your complimentary breakfast every morning. The only thing you have to do is to tell them at what time ;-)

Can it get even better?

Yep, they even do the dishes for you, twice daily...

Furthermore a chef can be arranged as well (price on request) to prepare your lunches or dinners so you can have an intimate dinner with your loved one around the candle lit plunge pool.

When you don't feel like eating at Villa Sasoon Bali the staff will arrange transport for you which is often free of charge with most of Candidasa's restaurants.

Candi dasa is a very laid-back village so don't expect wild entertainment here in the evening. If you get bored there are always 43 TV channels to choose from, a selection of video games/DVD's or the mini-bar in the kitchen.

During the day Villa Sasoon arranges tours as well. They have several hikes around the area such as from Kastala to Tenganan.

This off the beaten track takes you through rice paddies and small Balinese farms. Breakfast picnic or lunch are served with splendid views of the area.

Afterwards it's time for a well-deserved massage back at the villa don't you think?

What about an aroma therapy massage with tropical magnolia oil? The aroma therapy costs only Rp 140.000 for 60 min or Rp 190.000 for 90 min. Other options such as hair treatments, facials, manicure, pedicure etc is available as well, just have a look at the menu in the living room.

All in all we really think that Villa Sasoon Bali is like candy to the eye with their minimalist interior; wooden floors, an 8 meter high ceiling, marble kitchen, paintings, Balinese statues and private plunge pool.

This Bali luxury villa has two separate pavilion bedrooms and is the ideal place for couples, families or friends who like to spend some days in Candi dasa.
