Vincents Restaurant Candidasa,
something different...

Vincents Restaurant Candidasa is probably the place you'll be happy to go to more then once when you are staying in this area. This Bali restaurant promotes that they are something different in Candidasa and I totally agree.

Not only do they stand out with their inviting interior, legendary music but also their food is the best in town. It is a great place to have lunch and dinner when you are visiting or staying in Candidasa. 

Well, Toke restaurant in Candidasa is also just as terrific but that is not surprising since it is from the same owner as Vincent's.

Lounge with great background music

Vincents Restaurant Candidasa is named after the famous Dutch painter Vincent van Gogh, who represents art and culture. And that is what Bali is all about as well...

Once you enter the restaurant you will find yourself in a pretty comfortable setting, with a lounge area, dining area and a terrace where you can dine by candle light under the stars.

 

Enjoy eating outside...

 

And the best part of this whole scenery is the background music. Here you will know that somebody has taken much care in selecting the best jazz music.

While enjoying your meals you will be accompanied with Frank Sinatra, Sarah Vaughen, Dianna Krall and other legends...

And if in luck, you will be treated with a life performance.

During our stay in Candidasa we really did our best to find a variety of good restaurants. However there is not just much choice as for example the Ubud restaurants.

So unfortunately not many other places in Candidasa could meet the standards of this restaurant.

You can find Indonesian food on the menu as it's a mixture European and Asian dishes, ranging from Melon with imported ham and Calamari salad for Starters to Wiener Schnitzel and Ayam Pangang Sambal Tomato for the Main course.

Since Candidasa is located along the coast the fish is as fresh as it can be. When I was there I ordered the grilled fish of the day which was really terrific.

 

Great food, drinks and most importantly great atmosphere...

 

At dinner time the place has a great atmosphere with appropriate lighting and candles. After dinner you can move towards the lounge and order one of the many cocktails prepared at the bar, even the non-alcoholic are delicious...

For lunch there is a special menu. The salads are pretty good and I also tried the Smoked Salmon on bread. Definitely worth the try, but for the big eaters among us you will probably need to order something else on the side.

But don't worry there is enough to choose from...

Anyway if you happen to be passing by or are staying in one of the hotels in Candidasa area, I highly recommend you check out Vincents restaurant Candidasa.

Even though resorts have good restaurants as well (which is not always the case in Candidasa) it's always nice to leave the resort premises to check out what else Candidasa has to offer.
