Colonial memories at Bianco Restaurant in Legian

Bianco Restaurant is one of the bigger restaurants within walking distance from Legian beach. The bright white wash interior and big terrace is not hard to miss.

The interior of Bianco Restaurant takes you back to the colonial times. The furniture, decorations and especially the black and white pictures show how Indonesia looked liked in the past.

It was a bit of a surprise to see the huge tv screen in the middle of the restaurant. But besides being a restaurant, you can also go there for a drink while watching cricket, rugby or football matches.

 

 

 

The restaurant serves all types of dishes, so you can pop in at Bianco Restaurant at any time of day.

Besides the terrace in the front, the choice of tables continues inside with comfortable lounge chairs as well. Far behind the restaurant there is another terrace in which the trees provide a pleasant shade.

Once you've decided where to sit the waiter will hand you a massive book. This is the menu which practically takes up the whole table.

This Legian Restaurant is a good place to try out Indonesian food. They have a large choice of favorites such as nasi goreng, gado gado, chicken or lamb curry, nasi uduk (coconut rice) with beef, chicken or tofu.

I decided to try out their mixed seafood satay with rice. It was beautifully served on a sizzling smoky grill.

Besides Indonesian they also have sandwiches, burgers, pizza, pasta, salads and for those who are missing food from home they even serve fish & chips and chicken schnitzel.

So as you can tell, Bianco Restaurant is an ideal place to go to if you are traveling with family or a group of friends. There is a bit of everything for anybody.
